Acoustic guitarist Edgar CruzAt Kavanaugh UMC, we recognize that cultural and intellectual growth go hand in hand with spiritual development.

Our Community Enrichment Series offers both sacred and secular programs designed to foster that growth and to provide family entertainment, free of charge, to the entire community. An endowment fund targeted for enrichment programming has allowed the church to provide this community outreach since 1996.

The series has brought a wide variety of superior performance to the area. Community Enrichment has hosted the colorfully costumed and multi-talented African Children’s Choir, the chuckle-producing comedy of Craig Tornquist, the sublime strings of the Suzuki Violin Concert, the virtuoso vocals and wry humor of the Turtle Creek Chorale, a lavish, full choral and stage production of Amahl and the Night Visitors, and much more.

Performances are listed on the church calendar and in The Circuit Rider newsletter for members. Community members are invited to the programs via advertising in local newspapers and banners displayed outside the church.
